2024 Rural Youth Ambassadors
Twenty one year 11 students from across rural South Australian public Area and High Schools have been selected to participate in the 2024 Rural Youth Ambassador Program – which develops Leadership, Team Work, Public Speaking and Advocacy skills.
The Rural Youth Ambassador program focussed on improving educational experiences and outcomes for rural students across South Australia. The Rural Youth Ambassadors meet online and also participate in three, four day forums in Adelaide in terms 1,2 and 3, where they meet with the Minister of Education, the Chief Executive of the Education Department and other Senior Leaders and advisors to discuss policy reform, provide feedback and develop ideas on areas impacting rural schools.
The Rural Youth Ambassador Program is an initiative of the SA Department of Education’s Country Education Strategy and is administered by the South Australian Area School Leaders Association (SAASLA).
