Inaugural ‘Building a Hybrid Learning Environment’ Conference

The South Australian Area School Leaders Association held the state’s first ever Hybrid Learning/Local Delivery Conference on Friday 5th December at the Education Development Centre – Building a Hybrid Learning Environment.

The conference was attended by over forty people from across the state including teachers/leaders from country Area and High Schools (Eyre and Yorke Peninsula, South East, Murraylands, Mallee, Mid North and Far North along with teachers/leaders from Metro Schools, Country Local Education Teams and Corporate Divisions. The conference was in response to the increasing level of Local Delivery of senior school subjects occurring statewide and increases in planned subject delivery in 2026.

The conference was focussed on setting up Local Delivery online classrooms, sharing effective online teaching practices and pedagogies and supporting Local Delivery students for success. Presenters included experienced Local Delivery teachers/leaders from the Eyre Peninsula, Yorke Peninsula and first year Alternative Delivery teachers from the Far North.
